Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account details — your email address, name and password (stored securely as a hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
• Order and shipping details — shipping address, phone number, the products you order, the shipping service you choose and order totals.
• Research-use declarations — the research-use confirmations you make at checkout, saved with your order.
• Discount and referral codes — any promo code you apply, and the affiliate referral code from a link you followed to our site.
• Messages — what you send us through our contact form or by email.
• Technical data — basic information your browser sends (such as device type and pages visited) needed to run and secure the site.

We do not collect or store payment card numbers. Card payments are entered directly with our payment provider.

2. Why we use it

• To create and secure your account and give you access to the research catalog.
• To process, ship and support your orders, including subscription renewals.
• To keep records of research-use declarations and meet our legal and tax obligations.
• To apply discounts and credit the affiliate who referred you.
• To answer your questions and prevent fraud or misuse.

We do not use your information for unrelated purposes without asking you first.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the store, and only what they need:

• Hosting, database and sign-in provider — stores your account and order records (including Google sign-in).
• Payment provider — processes payments and applies discounts and tax.
• Shippo and shipping carriers — your name, address, phone and order contents, to quote rates, create shipments and deliver your order.
• GoAffPro — referral codes and order totals, to credit affiliate commissions.
• Our contact form / CRM provider — messages you send through the contact form.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies and your browser's local storage to keep you signed in, remember your cart, your currency display choice, your research-use confirmation and, for up to 7 days, an affiliate referral code. We do not use advertising cookies. Our contact form provider may set its own cookies when you use the form. Clearing your browser storage removes these items.

5. How long we keep it

We keep account information while your account is open. Order, shipping and research-declaration records are kept as long as needed for fulfilment, support, and legal, tax and accounting requirements, then deleted or anonymized. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to respond.

6. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections, access to records is restricted, and payments are handled by our payment provider. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you where required if a breach affects you.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent where we rely on it, by emailing bioxsciences@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity, and may keep records we are legally required to retain.

8. Canadian residents

We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Some service providers may store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

9. U.S. residents

Depending on your state, you may have rights to know, access, correct or delete your personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. To make a request, email us; we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
